Andrew Cromey is a Toronto-based filmmaker and editor specializing in documentary and scripted editing. His most recent editorial works include: Gold Bars: Who the F**k Is Uncle Ludwig (2025), Making Manson (2024), Take My Hand to Heaven (2024), Infiltrate (2024), Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe (2023), MP3 (2022), Qadr (2020), Mother Is Back (2021), Fourth Floor (2021), and Shook(2019).

Andrew is a story and character focused editor, allowing the audience to understand the characters through editorial pacing and the purposeful use of silent story beats, which invite the audience to observe and develop the characters on screen.His editing style blends visceral, tight close-ups and insert shots to create tension, reveal body language, and highlight the character's mental and emotional states captured through the frame. Tension is slowly released through wider shots that uncover the narrative context and environment surrounding the characters.

In addition to his film credits, Andrew produced and edited various programs at Universal Music Canada. He has worked with a variety of clients, including CNN, Bell Media, 60 Second Docs, Island Records, OMNI Television, and various charities and foundations. He has traveled internationally on various projects across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and East Africa.

Andrew is currently an associate member and board member of the Canadian Cinema Editors and the Alliance of Documentary Editors.
He attended York University's Film program, graduating in 2006 with a focus on film and digital cinematography, as well as non-linear digital editing.
